House rules De Fik
De Fik has always carved out freedom where you’re told to be quiet. True to its name, fire (fik), it sets flame to what no longer serves: rigid norms and the illusion that things can’t be different. From this punk spirit, De Fik Garden was born: a place to experiment and to grow weird. It’s a garden where ideas find ground, unheard voices bloom, and collectives grow wild. But even freedom needs roots. That’s why we have a door policy and the De Fik Garden Rules, not to limit you but to shape a loving and caring community.
De Fik Garden Rules
No space for discrimination, exclusion, excessive intoxication, (sexual) harassment, or violence.
Consent is everything! Every connection starts with care: always ask, listen and respect boundaries.
Respect the staff: follow their guidance at all times, they’re here to hold the space.
You need to be 18 or older and have a valid ID to enter.
For safety reasons, we might check your bag and give you a quick frisk.
No weapons, drugs, outside food or drinks allowed.
No-smoking policy inside the club. Smoking is only allowed outside.
Having a ticket doesn’t guarantee entry.
Entry may be refused if you’re causing disturbance, this can include, but isn’t limited to: being visibly intoxicated, aggressive or rude.
Groups larger than 3 may be refused entry.
Dress Code: at De Fik Garden self-expression is welcome and encouraged. However formal suits, uniforms, business attire, sportclub merchandise, and anything that could be offensive or make others uncomfortable, are not part of the dress code.
- Extra rules might apply depending on the hosting collective.
Liability
Lost or stolen items: De Fik Garden isn’t responsible for anything lost in the garden, club, or lockers.
Lighting and sound may include strobes or intense audio that could affect people with epilepsy or history of seizures. By entering, you do so at your own risk.
Bonfires invite warmth but require awareness. De Fik Garden isn’t responsible for accidents or injuries related to them.
Damage to property: you’re responsible for any damage you cause to De Fik Garden. This includes furniture, equipment, and other items.
Personal responsibility: move freely and enjoy De Fik Garden, but remember that your actions and well-being are your own responsibility.
